Veterans from any branch of military service, family members, friends, and anyone interested in ending war are invited to join Veterans For Peace.
Friday, April 12, 2024, 3-4:30pm, at the Monterey Peace and Justice Center, 1364 Fremont Blvd, Seaside CA, Veterans For Peace Chapter 46 presents, “Understanding a RMD, Required Minimum Distribution” and how donating to a 501(c)(3) can minimize your tax liability.
Jack Erickson, the chapters’ treasurer has arranged for Sahin Gunsel, a financial advisor from local bank, US Bank of Monterey, to have an open discussion and explanation of retirement accounts; pensions, 401k, IRAs, and SEP..
Chapter 46 is sponsoring this event to help bolster contributions to our organization as we prepare to implement a financial assistance program in the form of scholarships for veterans, and their families as they complete their education.
All are welcome to come and gain tips about your retirement income while learning about “Smart Giving” using the Required Minimum Distribution from your retirement accounts (pensions, 401k, IRAs, and SEPs) to support causes you believe in.
VFP Ch. 46 meets the second Friday of the month, from 3 pm – 4:30 pm, in-person and virtually.
