Killing Gaza
July 21, 2018 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Documentary Film and Discussion
In August 2014, as a five-day ceasefire took hold in Israel’s 51-day war with Gaza, independent journalists Max Blumenthal and Dan Cohen captured rarely documented scenes as they traveled across miles and miles of rubble along Gaza’s destroyed border regions. The stories they gathered from survivors are the narrative basis of this documentary. The film also highlights Gazans’ acts of creative resistance through the arts, literature, and dancing, in their effort to maintain their humanity in the face of war and deprivation.
